Description
This 3-Ingredient Banana Bread is a quick and easy recipe that requires minimal effort but delivers a soft, moist, and naturally sweet loaf. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert, this simple recipe is ideal for beginners and those looking for a fuss-free treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup + 2 tablespoons banana puree (about 3–4 ripe bananas)
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- ½ cup milk of choice
Instructions
-
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×4-inch loaf pan with parchment paper. -
Prepare the Banana Puree
Mash the ripe bananas until smooth, or blend them in a food processor to create a puree. Measure out 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons. -
Mix the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the banana puree, self-rising flour, and milk. Stir until just combined—avoid overmixing to keep the bread light and fluffy. -
Transfer to the Loaf Pan
Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. -
Bake
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. -
Cool and Serve
Let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Banana Ripeness: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your bread will be.
Self-Rising Flour Substitute: If you don’t have self-rising flour, mix 2 cups all-purpose flour with 1 tablespoon baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt.
Add-ins: Feel free to mix in nuts, chocolate chips, or cinnamon for extra flavor.
