Description
This 4-Ingredient Banana Bread is a quick and easy recipe that delivers a moist, naturally sweet, and flavorful loaf. With minimal ingredients and no fuss, it’s perfect for breakfast, a snack, or even dessert.
Ingredients
- 4 large overripe bananas
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1½ cups self-rising flour
Instructions
-
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8.5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper or grease it with non-stick spray. -
Mash the Bananas:
Peel the bananas and mash them in a large mixing bowl with a fork until mostly smooth with some small lumps. -
Mix with Eggs:
Add the eggs to the mashed bananas and whisk until fully combined. -
Incorporate Dry Ingredients:
Stir in the brown sugar and self-rising flour until just combined. Do not overmix, as this can make the bread dense. -
Transfer to Pan:
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top. For extra flavor, sprinkle a bit of brown sugar on top. -
Bake:
Bake for 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. -
Cool and Serve:
Let the bread cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
Ripeness Matters: The riper the bananas (with brown spots), the sweeter the bread.
No Self-Rising Flour: Use 1½ cups all-purpose flour + 1½ tsp baking powder + ½ tsp salt as a substitute.
Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
