Description

Decadent Cheesecake Brownies combine rich, fudgy chocolate with a luscious swirl of creamy cheesecake. Perfect for any dessert lover, these bars are easy to make and irresistibly good.

Brownie Layer

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Cheesecake Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  • Make the Brownie Batter
    Melt the butter and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until fully combined and glossy.

  • Prepare the Cheesecake Batter
    In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

  • Layer and Swirl
    Pour most of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, reserving 1/4 cup. Spread evenly. Add the cheesecake mixture on top. Drop spoonfuls of the reserved brownie batter and swirl with a knife or toothpick.

  • Bake
    Bake for 35–40 minutes until the center is just set. A toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs.

  • Cool and Slice
    Allow brownies to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing for clean, neat pieces.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature cream cheese to avoid lumps in the cheesecake layer. Don’t over-swirl—the marbled effect looks best with just a few gentle strokes. Brownies taste even better after chilling overnight.
