Description

This creamy cheesy baked crab dip is the ultimate warm appetizer—rich, savory, and loaded with tender crab meat and melty cheese. Perfect for parties, holidays, or game day gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale

Dairy & Base

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Seafood

  • 1/2 pound lump crab meat (fresh or canned, drained and checked for shells)

Flavor Boosters

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp paprika

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Garnish (optional)

  • Chopped chives or parsley

  • Extra shredded cheese for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a small baking dish or cast iron skillet.

  • Mix the Creamy Base
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and well blended.

  • Season the Mixture
Add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir well to combine.

  • Fold in Crab and Cheese
Gently fold in the crab meat, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Be careful not to overmix to keep the crab meat intact.

  • Transfer and Top
Spoon the mixture into your baking dish, smoothing the top. Sprinkle with extra cheese if desired.

  • Bake Until Bubbly
Bake for 18–20 minutes or until the dip is bubbly and lightly golden on top.

  • Serve and Garnish
Remove from the oven, top with chopped chives or parsley, and serve warm with crackers, crostini, or vegetables.

Notes

For best results, use fresh lump crab meat. The dip can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving. If using canned crab, drain well and remove any shell fragments.
