Description

This no-bake Cremora and Yoghurt Fridge Tart is a South African favorite, combining creamy coffee creamer, tangy yoghurt, and sweet condensed milk on a buttery biscuit base. It’s the ultimate quick dessert for any occasion—refreshing, light, and endlessly customizable with your favorite yogurt flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 1 packet (200g) Tennis Biscuits or digestive biscuits

  • 100g melted butter

Filling

  • 250g Cremora (coffee creamer powder)

  • ½ cup cold water

  • 500g plain or flavored yoghurt (e.g., strawberry, granadilla, peach)

  • 1 can (385g) condensed milk

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Base
Crush the biscuits into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter. Press into the base of a tart dish and refrigerate while you prepare the filling.

  • Dissolve Cremora
In a bowl, mix Cremora with cold water and stir until completely dissolved and slightly thickened. Let it rest for 1–2 minutes.

  • Mix the Filling
Add yoghurt, condensed milk, and lemon juice to the Cremora mixture. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

  • Assemble the Tart
Pour the filling over the biscuit base and smooth the top with a spatula.

  • Chill to Set
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until the tart is fully set.

  • Serve
Slice and serve cold. Optional: garnish with fresh fruit, crushed biscuits, or a fruit drizzle.

Notes

To get the best results, allow the tart to chill overnight. For a firmer slice, use Greek yoghurt. Flavored yoghurts like granadilla or strawberry give extra zing. Avoid freezing, as the texture may change.
