For the Crust
- 1 refrigerated pie crust (or homemade)
For the Filling
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup onion, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
For Topping
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare the Crust – Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Press the pie crust into a greased 9-inch pie dish.
- Cook the Beef Mixture – In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onions until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Season & Add Sauce – Stir in garlic powder, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and pizza sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Layer the Filling – Pour the beef mixture into the pie crust. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the top. Add pepperoni if using.
- Bake the Pie – Bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven, add more cheese, and bake for 5 more minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Cool & Serve – Let the pie cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
