Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (150g) packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 2 tsp (10ml) pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5g) baking soda
- 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- In a large bowl, stir together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Whisk in the egg and vanilla extract until the mixture looks glossy and combined.
- Sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Using a spatula, fold the ingredients together just until no streaks of flour remain. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan using the back of a spatula. Bake for 22–25 minutes until edges are golden-brown and the center is set but slightly underbaked.
