Ingredients:
- 3 large ripe Hass avocados
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 0.5 cup red onion, finely diced
- 0.5 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1.5 jalapeños, deseeded and minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 Roma tomatoes, deseeded and diced
- 0.5 tsp sea salt
- 0.25 tsp toasted cumin
Instructions:
- Place the finely diced red onion, chopped cilantro, minced jalapeño, and sea salt into a large non-reactive mixing bowl. Use the back of a spoon to lightly press and bruise the ingredients to release essential oils.
- Halve the avocados and remove the pits. Scoop the flesh into the bowl. Using a fork or potato masher, crush the avocado until it reaches a chunky consistency.
- Pour the fresh lime juice over the mixture. Add the diced Roma tomatoes and optional toasted cumin. Gently fold the ingredients together to combine without over-processing the avocado.
