Ingredients:
- 1 box (15.25 oz / 432g) White Cake Mix
- 1 cup (240ml) Water
- ½ cup (115g) Vegetable Oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 package (3 oz / 85g) Fruit-flavored Gelatin
- 1 cup (240ml) Boiling Water
- 1 container (8 oz / 225g) Whipped Topping
- Fresh berries for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat oven according to cake mix instructions and mix cake ingredients until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a 9x13 inch baking pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cake is still warm, use a wooden skewer or chopstick to poke holes every ½ inch across the entire surface, ensuring they reach nearly the bottom.
- Whisk the gelatin powder into boiling water until completely dissolved.
- Slowly pour the dissolved gelatin over the cake, ensuring the syrup fills every hole.
- Allow the cake to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes, then refrigerate for 4 hours until the gelatin is set.
- Spread the thawed whipped topping evenly across the top of the chilled cake.
- Garnish with fresh berries before serving.
