Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup filtered water
- 3 tbsp coarsely ground coffee
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1/4 cup half-and-half
- 1 tbsp simple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Brew the coffee concentrate using double the amount of grounds relative to water. If using a saucepan, simmer the grounds in water for 4 minutes, then strain.
- While the coffee concentrate is still hot, stir in the simple syrup and vanilla extract until fully dissolved.
- Allow the mixture to sit for 2 minutes to decrease in temperature slightly.
- Fill a tall glass to the brim with ice cubes.
- Pour the hot coffee concentrate directly over the ice.
- Top the drink with half-and-half and stir gently until chilled.
