- 1.5 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 large overripe frozen banana, sliced
- 1 cup cold whole milk
- 0.25 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 0.5 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp honey
Instructions:
- Pour the cold whole milk into the bottom of the blender canister. Note: Liquid at the bottom lubricates the blades instantly.
- Add the Greek yogurt and honey on top of the milk.
- Drop in the vanilla extract, ensuring it hits the liquid so it disperses evenly.
- Add the sliced frozen banana pieces next. Note: These are softer than berries and help create the initial creaminess.
- Heap the frozen strawberries on the very top. Weight at the top helps push the ingredients down into the blades.
- Secure the lid tightly and start the blender on the lowest speed.
- Slowly ramp up to high speed and blend for 45 to 60 seconds until the mixture is spinning in a smooth, funnel like vortex.
- Stop and check the consistency with a spoon. If you see chunks, blend for another 15 seconds.
- Pour into a chilled glass immediately until it reaches the brim with a thick, satisfying glug.
