Ingredients:
- 1 box (15.25 oz) Strawberry cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 package (3 oz) Strawberry-flavored gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 tub (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and water in a large bowl; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
- Pour batter into the pan and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cake is still warm, poke holes across the surface about 1 inch apart using a wooden spoon handle or fork.
- Dissolve strawberry gelatin powder in 1 cup of boiling water, then stir in 1 cup of cold water.
- Slowly pour the liquid gelatin over the cake, ensuring the holes are filled. Allow the cake to cool completely to room temperature.
- Spread the thawed whipped topping evenly over the cooled cake and garnish with sliced fresh strawberries.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.
