Ingredients:

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) Strawberry cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package (3 oz) Strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 tub (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and water in a large bowl; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. While the cake is still warm, poke holes across the surface about 1 inch apart using a wooden spoon handle or fork.
  5. Dissolve strawberry gelatin powder in 1 cup of boiling water, then stir in 1 cup of cold water.
  6. Slowly pour the liquid gelatin over the cake, ensuring the holes are filled. Allow the cake to cool completely to room temperature.
  7. Spread the thawed whipped topping evenly over the cooled cake and garnish with sliced fresh strawberries.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.
