Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp cold water
Instructions:
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, chicken broth, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Whisk vigorously until the honey is completely dissolved.
- In a separate small ramekin, mix the cornstarch and cold water until a smooth, milky slurry forms.
- Pour the sauce mixture (excluding the slurry) into a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Slowly drizzle in the cornstarch slurry while whisking constantly. Continue to simmer for 1–2 minutes until the sauce transforms into a translucent, velvety glaze.
- Remove from heat immediately to prevent over-thickening.
