Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp cold water

Instructions:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, chicken broth, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Whisk vigorously until the honey is completely dissolved.
  2. In a separate small ramekin, mix the cornstarch and cold water until a smooth, milky slurry forms.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture (excluding the slurry) into a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Slowly drizzle in the cornstarch slurry while whisking constantly. Continue to simmer for 1–2 minutes until the sauce transforms into a translucent, velvety glaze.
  5. Remove from heat immediately to prevent over-thickening.
